Job Description
As part of our exciting growth plans, we’re looking for an enthusiastic and professional individual to join our team as an Operations & Customer Service Assistant. This position is for a 12-month fixed-term contract and would suit someone early in their career looking to gain some experience in an exciting and fast-paced industry. There is the possibility that this will develop into a permanent position.
Working at Absolute Escapes, you will be able to share your passion for travel and the outdoors by interacting with our clients and providing support to our operations team, who are as passionate about travel as you are.
The role will play an integral part in delivering the walking holidays and tailor-made tours that we provide for our UK and international clients. You will be highly organised with meticulous attention to detail and excellent written and verbal communication skills, as you will be working with our clients and suppliers in the tourism industry.
You will play an active role in the operational side of the business, assisting with clients’ logistical arrangements (such as accommodation and travel reservations) and providing support before and during their holiday, ensuring their questions are answered and needs are met.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
