Location: Edinburgh – Hybrid (two days a week in our George Street office)

Seccl is growing rapidly and will scale rapidly over the next few years. We’re looking for an Operations Delivery Lead to shape our tax wrapper operations team at a pivotal stage.
The Role
We’re seeking an experienced Operations Delivery Lead to oversee the operational delivery of Seccl’s SIPP and ISA products. You will:
- Build and refine the operational structure, processes, and controls required to support the growing tax-wrappers business.
- Ensure scalability while maintaining excellent customer outcomes.
- Design scalable operational frameworks, aligned with regulatory and legislative requirements—especially for pensions and tax wrappers—creating systems that incorporate robust controls from the outset.
Reporting to the Head of Payments & Reporting, this role involves owning, redesigning, and implementing new ways of working in partnership with Product, Engineering, and Technical Services. It’s a hands-on leadership position requiring:
- Resolving complex operational challenges
- Building high-performing teams
- Cultivating ounding operational excellence
Daily Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end performance of the SIPP and ISA operations tax-wrappers team
- Mentor, coach, and develop a growing team of operations specialists, fostering a client-first and ownership-driven culture
- Uphold operational SLAs, SLOs, and customer outcomes across all SIPP and ISA processes
- Develop workforce planning, capacity forecasting, and resource models to support growth
- Drive operational readiness for new client onboarding and product launches
- Serve as the primary escalation point for incidents, coordinating response, communications, root cause analysis, and lasting fixes
- Provide operational oversight and support for regulatory reporting
- Collaborate with Product/Engineering teams to:
- Optimise workflows
- Automate where possible
- Enhance controls
- Mitigate operational risk at scale
- Promote continuous improvement, accountability, and operational excellence

Ideal Candidate
You will thrive if you have experience in:
- Operational leadership within pensions, platforms, wealth management, or fintech.
- SIPP operational expertise, with a deep understanding of pensions administration.
- Experience leading teams through rapid growth, navigating substantial change.
- Designing and implementing scalable operational processes, operating models, and cross-team workflows.
- A strong grasp of the regulatory environment, including Consumer Duty, CASS, and country-specific tax wrapper (pension/ISA) obligations.
- Ability to handle complexity and exceptions with a calm, decisive, and client-focused approach.
- Proven track record of improving operations via cross-functional partnerships with teams like Product, Engineering, and Risk.
- Data-driven mindset, with effectiveness in using MI/operational metrics to guide strategy.
- Strong ability to communicate and influence stakeholders and third-party partners.
This role is not for someone looking to:
- Operate solely with top-down instructions.
- Prefer a slow-paced environment; our speed and scalability demand agility and efficiency.
- Struggle with accountability or follow-through.
- Reluctant to embrace rapid change, ambiguity, and growth-related ambiguity.

- Excellent customer service delivered to all client firms across SIPP and ISA processes.
