Operations Delivery Manager

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Operations Delivery Manager to oversee the safe operation and delivery of business plan activities across the FCA Programme. Responsible for operational performance, programme delivery and team leadership, you will ensure work is executed safely, efficiently and in line with strategic objectives, while driving continuous improvement across the programme.

NRS Dounreay is delivering one of the UK's most complex and nationally significant nuclear decommissioning programmes, requiring strong operational leadership to safely deliver key site objectives. The FCA Programme is central to this mission, ensuring critical activities are planned, managed and executed efficiently while maintaining the highest standards of safety, compliance and performance.

As Operations Delivery Manager, you will lead the delivery of operational commitments across the FCA Programme, driving performance against cost, schedule and quality objectives. Working with a wide range of stakeholders, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining operational excellence, managing risks and ensuring successful programme delivery. Could this be the opportunity to take your leadership career to the next level?

What You'll Be Doing

  • Execute the FCA 5 Year plan, optimising plans to respond to changes when necessary
  • Improve physical delivery performance across the programme by monitoring overall FCA operational performance, identifying trends, risks and improvement opportunities
  • Identify, implement, and maintain work programmes, taking into account analysis of resource dependencies and constraints, scope, risks, and assumptions
  • Efficiently manage work packages within the bounds of the safety case
  • Act as the senior escalation point for FCA operational issues
  • Assess the impact of identified problems and incidents and develop and implement the necessary mitigation actions in conjunction with the Programme Integrator

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
