Help make ageing well at home the new norm
GoodOaks is a values-led homecare franchise on a mission to change what growing older looks like. Across 35 locations, our franchise partners deliver outstanding care in their own communities – and we’re on a clear path to double our footprint by 2030.
That kind of growth doesn’t happen on its own. It needs stronger systems, deeper support, and sharper operational execution. It needs someone who can make the right things actually happen, everywhere, consistently.
That’s where you come in.
The role
We’re looking for an Operations Director to lead the performance and effectiveness of our franchise network.
This isn’t a purely strategic role, and it isn’t a purely operational one. It sits squarely in the middle. You’ll be the integrator of the business – connecting strategy to execution, aligning teams, and owning the core drivers of franchise success: performance, recruitment, franchisee support, operational systems, and financial discipline, working alongside our specialist compliance and marketing leads.
You’ll be equally at home zooming out to shape how we scale, and zooming in to fix what’s not working in a single office.
What you’ll own
- Network performance – Drive results across the network, support franchisees to grow sustainably and profitably, and spot underperformance early so you can step in before it becomes a problem.
- Franchise partner relationships – Build trusted, honest relationships with franchise partners, balancing genuine support with the challenge that helps them raise their game.
- Recruitment & capacity – Lift recruitment performance across the network and shorten the time it takes new offices to reach capacity and break-even.
- Systems & scalability – Put scalable systems and processes in place, and standardise the best practices that already work well somewhere in the network.
- Financial discipline – Strengthen commercial understanding among franchise partners and sharpen how KPIs are used and reported.
- Internal alignment – Keep central teams and the franchise network pulling in the same direction, in close partnership with our quality and marketing leads.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
