Operations Director

Our client is a leading infrastructure contractor, delivering long-term frameworks and high-volume operational maintenance services for major water and utilities clients across the UK.

They are seeking an Operations Director to lead a growing short- and medium-cycle portfolio, initially spanning multiple frameworks. The portfolio includes developer services, requisitions and diversions, alongside reactive and planned works.

This newly created senior leadership role will take full accountability for operational performance, executive client relationships, profitable growth, and organizational capability. The Operations Director will lead three Framework Directors and drive consistent ways of working across a national, matrix-led portfolio.

The successful candidate will scale existing frameworks, shape new client opportunities, and ensure the operating model, systems, and processes are suited to fast-paced, high-volume delivery. The role offers considerable scope to grow the accounts and, over time, incorporate further water, power, and utilities-sector opportunities.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
