Operations Director
The Operations Director will lead and manage all the clinical services provided across Rampton Hospital. They will drive the development, transformation, modernisation and integration of the in-patient services to remove unnecessary variation and ensure safe, high-quality care and treatment and a positive patient experience. The Operations Director will work collaboratively with the Clinical Directors and Associate Directors of Nursing (ADONA’s) to set the strategic direction for care provision, will have responsibility for ensuring safe care in high secure environments and be accountable for the operational delivery of the hospital.
The post holder will support the planning processes of the Trust and Commissioners for high secure services across Nottinghamshire interpreting local and national policy, ensuring safe, efficient and effective service provision. The postholder will provide strategic support to the Forensic Care Group Director working with the Associate Medical Director, Nurse Director and external Commissioners to deliver the agreed programmes of Therapy, Social Care, Quality Improvement and performance management.
The postholder will proactively work closely with partner organisations on the development of existing and future services, care pathways and models of care
Rampton Hospital
Rampton is one of England’s three High Secure Psychiatric Hospitals. It provides High Secure services for patients with a mental illness and personality disorder. It also provides the national service for men with learning disability to England and Wales and the national service in England and Wales for men who have mental health problems requiring who are pre-lingually deaf. Rampton Hospital is also the sole High Secure Psychiatric Service for women in England and Wales.

The role has the responsibility for transforming the provision of High Secure in-patient services for Nottinghamshire Healthcare to achieve the modernisation agenda and working with the Senior Team in relation to planning, development and delivery of services.
The role will be integral to ensuring a positive relationship with commissioners and securing funding to support the development of services provided by the Hospital.
The Role
The individual will need to be a highly experienced manager with sound commercial acumen, analytical insight, with an influential, diplomatic and highly inclusive approach to leadership. With proven experience of delivering highly complex services, redesign and development, delivering efficiencies and the successful performance management of services. The post holder will enjoy a hands-on, busy, rewarding role with the opportunity to be at the forefront of service improvement, establishing and embedding a hospital wide structure and developing others.
