Operations Director – Facilities Management

Location: UK-wide
Sector: Facilities Management
Contract: Permanent

We are supporting an established and growing facilities management business with the appointment of an experienced Operations Director.

This senior leadership role will take responsibility for a diverse portfolio of public and private-sector contracts. You will lead operational delivery, strengthen client relationships and drive sustainable commercial performance across the division.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead the operational performance of a complex, multi-site FM portfolio
  • Ensure contracts consistently meet their operational, financial and compliance objectives
  • Build strong relationships with clients, partners and senior stakeholders
  • Lead, develop and motivate regional and contract-level management teams
  • Drive improvements in service quality, productivity and customer satisfaction
  • Support contract mobilisation, retention and organic growth
  • Maintain high standards of health, safety, compliance and governance
  • Manage budgets, forecasts and overall P&L performance
  • Work closely with the executive team to support the wider business strategy

  • Senior operational leadership experience within the FM sector
  • Experience managing complex public and private-sector contracts
  • Responsibility for a significant multi-site portfolio or business unit
  • Strong commercial, financial and P&L management capability
  • A track record of improving operational and customer performance
  • Excellent client relationship and stakeholder-management skills
  • Experience leading and developing senior operational teams
  • A visible, collaborative and accountable leadership style
