Operations Director
Sector: HVAC/R Rental & Hire | UK
A great opportunity to join a growing HVAC/R company at an important stage of its development. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will join the Senior Leadership Team and have genuine influence over the operational strategy, team, and future growth of the business.
We are looking for an experienced Operations Director from an HVAC/R rental, hire, or equipment services background to take ownership of the operational function and build the structure required to support continued expansion.
The Role
- Lead hire, service, delivery, engineering, and depot operations across the business.
- Improve operational processes, systems, and workflows to increase efficiency and service levels.
- Ensure high standards across technical delivery, safety, compliance, and quality.
- Develop the operational team, structure, and capability as the business grows.
- Introduce clear KPIs, accountability, and performance management.
- Work closely with the CEO and SLT to align operational capacity with commercial growth.
- Develop and deliver a clear 12-month operational plan.

What We Are Looking For
- Senior operations leadership experience within HVAC/R rental, hire, or equipment services.
- Experience managing multi-site or depot-based operations.
- Strong understanding of HVAC/R equipment and rental operations.
- Proven track record of improving operational performance and processes.
- Commercially minded with strong people leadership skills.
- Comfortable operating strategically while remaining hands-on.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

First 90 Days
- Assess the current operation, team, and processes.
- Identify immediate operational improvements.
- Establish priorities, KPIs, and accountability.
- Define the future organizational structure.
- Build a practical 12-month operational roadmap aligned with the company's growth plans.
Location: UK, with regular travel across the operational network
