Operations Director
Midlands | Split across two offices | Full-time
Salary: Circa £70,000 + benefits
The Opportunity
We're partnering with a growing communications agency that is entering an exciting new chapter. Following a period of sustained success, the business is looking to appoint an experienced Operations Director who will work closely with the board to help shape the next phase of growth.
This is a pivotal leadership role for someone who thrives on bringing structure, improving efficiency and building scalable processes within an ambitious, people-first environment. Whilst experience within a creative, communications or events agency would be advantageous, it's by no means essential. We're open to speaking with commercially minded operational leaders from a range of sectors who can bring fresh thinking, strong leadership and a track record of driving positive change.
With a fantastic culture, a genuinely collaborative leadership team and ambitious plans for the future, this is an opportunity to make a significant impact on a business at an exciting stage of its journey.
The Role
Working closely with the board, you'll take ownership of operational strategy, ensuring the business has the right processes, systems and structures in place to support continued growth.
You'll be responsible for improving efficiency across the organisation, strengthening commercial performance and implementing best-practice operational frameworks that enable teams to do their best work.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
