Job Title: Operations Executive
Salary: Circa £75,000
Location: City of London (hybrid)
PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
My client is a commercial insurance and reinsurance broker at Lloyd's, set up with the singular focus of improving the way businesses around the world manage risk via insurance. They have ambitious growth plans and a growing international network of offices.
As part of their continued growth, our client is seeking an enthusiastic Operations Executive to join their Business Operations team.
The role will support the Global COO in delivering global operational activities, including the coordination of operational projects, systems implementation and the management of relationships with external vendors and service providers. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of and help shape our client's growing international network, working collaboratively with key internal stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered on schedule, service standards are met, and continuous operational improvements support business growth and client satisfaction.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage day-to-day relationships with external vendors, suppliers, and service providers.
- Act as the primary operational point of contact for vendors, resolving issues and escalating concerns as necessary.
- Coordinate vendor activities to ensure projects and operational initiatives remain on schedule and aligned to agreed business objectives.
- Conduct regular reviews of vendor and supplier performance and identify where change is required.
- Support vendor and supplier selection, onboarding, contract renewals, due diligence, productivity, and service delivery.
- Develop and implement processes and systems.
- Support and coordinate operational projects from initiation through to implementation.
- Contribute to the development of operational policies and best practices.

DAY TO DAY
- Analyse existing operational processes and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce risk, enhance controls, and streamline workflows.
- Create and maintain process documentation, standard operating procedures, and operational guidelines, including the Operations Manual.
- Monitor key operational metrics and prepare reports highlighting trends, issues, and improvement opportunities.
- Track project milestones, deliverables, risks, and dependencies.
- Facilitate project meetings and provide regular progress updates to stakeholders.
- Assist in maintaining effective operational controls and adherence to regulatory requirements.
- Investigate operational issues and implement corrective actions where required.
- Respond to and own actions arising from compliance monitoring audits.

EXPERIENCE
- Experience in a similar operations role within the London (re)insurance market.
- Ability to manage third-party vendor and supplier relationships.
- Strong process improvement and problem-solving experience.
- Experience leading organisational change projects from planning through to implementation.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Passionate about delivering proactive solutions for the business.
SKILLS
- Knowledge of the London (re)insurance market.
- Strong process improvement and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent organisational and project coordination capabilities
