About the role
Are you ready for your next step in your career? Or perhaps it's time for a new challenge? Then look no further, as we're looking for an Operations Executive CH&I to join our Technical Services team in Telford.
You will be customer focused and able to work under pressure to ensure we are able to meet service standards, whilst also being able to meet Reconomy’s commercial expectations. This will be achieved by working closely with our network of approved suppliers, regional Supply Chain Managers and team members across the business.
Some of the key responsibilities and duties of the role:
- Procure services for a range of containerised hazardous and non-hazardous waste streams, based on quotations generated from our internal systems.
- Build and maintain good supplier relationships.
- Ensure issues are managed and resolved, or where necessary escalated to the appropriate team or individual.
- Record, update and maintain supplier contacts and records in Reconomy platforms.
- Assisting with tenders and strategic pricing matrices where required.
- Maintain up to date knowledge of Reconomy’s products and services as well as relevant industry information to benefit us and our customers.
What we need from you
- Good commercial awareness and negotiation skills.
- Procurement experience would be a bonus, but not essential - we're more interested in the right attitude and willingness to learn.
- Confident with speaking on the phone.
- Enjoys working as part of a team.
- Good Microsoft Office skills such as Word and Excel (e.g. data input, sort, filter).
- Experience in providing a great service in a customer or supplier facing role.
- An organised and proactive approach to meet deadlines and SLA's.

During your initial three-month probation period, you will be based full-time at our Telford office (TF3 3BD). Following successful completion of this period, hybrid working arrangements will be considered, typically involving a minimum of three days per week in the office and up to two days working from home.
