About LMP Legal
At LMP Legal, we're changing the way drivers and businesses think about legal support. Through our LMP 24/7 service, we provide round-the-clock legal support to businesses and their drivers when serious incidents happen on the road. Plus, we are regularly instructed in motoring offence cases where the stakes are high and outcomes matter.
We’ve built a reputation of being approachable, responsive and dependable, combining high professional standards with a practical, commercial approach. As the firm grows, having strong operations behind our lawyers is increasingly important. That is where this role comes in.
The Operations Executive will help ensure the business runs smoothly behind the scenes. From keeping systems, documents and processes running properly to supporting new starters, senior colleagues and our 24/7 service, this is a varied role with the opportunity to make a visible difference to how the firm operates.
The role
We are looking for an organised, proactive and technology-confident Operations Executive to work closely with our Head of Operations and colleagues across LMP Legal.
You will take ownership of a broad range of day-to-day operational activity which helps to keep the firm organised, solving practical problems and making it easier for colleagues to do their jobs effectively. No two weeks are likely to look quite the same. You might coordinate diaries and travel one day, improve a document template or business process the next, and help deliver a new system or operational project after that.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Experience in operations, executive support, office management or business administration would be useful, particularly within a law firm or other professional-services business. Experience with practice-management systems, onboarding, document templates, office administration or implementing new systems would also be an advantage.
You do not need to arrive knowing every system or process we use. What matters more is that you're curious, capable, organised, and willing to take ownership.
Why this role matters
LMP is growing, and growth only works when the operation behind it keeps pace. This role sits at the centre of that. You'll help our lawyers spend more time looking after clients, help new colleagues get off to a good start, keep important processes moving and work with the Head of Operations to improve the systems and infrastructure the firm relies on. If you enjoy making things work better rather than simply maintaining the status quo, there is plenty here to get stuck into.
