Role Description
The Operations Executive will oversee day-to-day logistics operations, ensuring timely and accurate coordination of shipments, documentation, and customer communication. This full-time, on-site role based in Newcastle Upon Tyne involves monitoring cargo movements, liaising with carriers, warehouses, and customs agents, and resolving operational issues to maintain service quality. The Operations Executive will support process improvement initiatives, track performance metrics, and help optimize routing, costs, and transit times. The role includes maintaining accurate records in operational systems, preparing reports, and working closely with internal teams to meet client expectations and compliance requirements. The position requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and a consistent focus on operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.

- Strong operations and operations management skills, with experience in logistics or supply chain environments.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with clients, carriers, and internal teams.
- Solid analytical skills to interpret data, identify trends, and support process improvements.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and maintain attention to detail in a fast-paced setting.
- Familiarity with freight forwarding, customs procedures, and transport documentation is highly beneficial.
- Proficiency with standard office and logistics software; experience with TMS or WMS platforms is an advantage.
- Relevant qualification in logistics, supply chain management, business, or a related field preferred.
- Demonstrated reliability, problem-solving capability, and commitment to high-quality customer service.
