Senior Ops Leader · Remote UK, Monthly London meetups · £75,000–£80,000 (In partnership with In Product)
A rare, broad ops role for someone who wants to be genuinely hands-on across finance, legal, people ops, compliance, and infosec - inside a lean, high-trust team. If you get energy from fixing the system behind the problem, not just the problem itself - this is worth reading.
About the company
A bootstrapped, profitable UK tech business helping brands run smarter, more targeted reward campaigns - verifying eligible audiences so brands can offer the right reward to the right person, at the right time. 500+ brand clients, 2m+ shoppers a year, £125m+ in retail sales - delivered by a team of around 20 people. AI and automation are core to how they stay lean while moving fast, including in non-technical functions.
They're rescoping this role from the ground up: less about running a function through others, more about being the person who actually gets stuck in.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.
About the role
You'll work alongside the founder, a fellow operator, and a fractional CRO - with no direct reports of your own. What you'll own instead is breadth: finance and legal queries, data protection and infosec, compliance, and the operational glue that keeps a fast-moving team functioning day to day.
The remit spans:
- Owning day-to-day operational queries across finance, legal, people ops, and compliance
- Embedding processes and systems that meet regulatory and business needs, not just ticking boxes
- Diagnosing root causes of operational friction and fixing the system, not just the symptom
- Working cross-functionally with the founder, ops, and revenue teams to keep things moving
This role sits at SLT level, but the first 3-6 months are deliberately hands-on - you're doing the work, not just directing it.

We're looking for someone who:
- Has genuine breadth across finance, legal, people ops, compliance, or infosec - not deep in one lane only
- Can diagnose the root cause of a problem and improve the system behind it
- Is comfortable making decisions with imperfect information, and knows a quick fix from a durable one
- Has operated in a SaaS or startup environment - an ex-founder mindset is a genuine plus
- Uses tools, data, and automation practically to remove friction, not just talks about them
- Can lead through influence and cross-functional partnership, not authority
Why this role
Most ops roles at this stage are either pure admin or pure strategy. This one's neither. You'd be the person who actually makes operations work - direct access to the founder, real ownership of how the business runs day to day, and the kind of variety that comes from genuine breadth.
“It took my CV and asked me questions relevant to understanding what kind of jobs to suggest for me. Suggestions were almost perfect. Jobs were exactly what I’ve been looking for.”
