DIFY | London | Full-Time | £36,000 + 2% Equity | Starting January 2027
DIFY is building the operating infrastructure for the UK driving instruction market — helping independent instructors and driving schools manage bookings, learners and day-to-day operations through one platform.
We are looking for an Operations Lead to work directly with the founder and take ownership of how the company operates as DIFY moves from early-stage validation into growth. This is not a role for someone who only wants to maintain existing processes. You will be expected to build them.
What you'll own
- Day-to-day business operations across DIFY.
- Building and improving internal processes, workflows and SOPs.
- Instructor and driving-school onboarding.
- Customer support, escalations and operational problem-solving.
- Tracking company KPIs and identifying operational bottlenecks.
- Coordinating across product, sales, marketing and field teams.
- Turning instructor and school feedback into clear internal actions.
- Supporting white-label driving-school deployments as these scale.
- Helping recruit and manage future operations and support staff.
- Working directly with the founder on company planning and execution.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.
Who we're looking for
You should be highly organised, commercially aware and comfortable working in an early-stage company where the answer is often not already written down.
You may come from startups, marketplaces, SaaS, operations, consulting or another execution-heavy environment. We care more about your ability to take ownership, solve problems and build systems than having followed one specific career path.
You should be someone who wants meaningful responsibility early, not someone looking for a narrowly defined corporate role.

Progression
The intention is for this person to become a major part of DIFY's senior leadership team. For an exceptional performer who demonstrates the ability to operate across the business, there is a potential pathway to Chief Operating Officer within approximately 12 months. This is performance-dependent and not guaranteed by tenure.
Compensation
- £3,000 per month / £36,000 per year
- 2% equity in DIFY
The equity award will vest over 4 years, vesting quarterly, with a 1-year cliff. This is an early-stage leadership role. The cash compensation reflects DIFY's current stage, while the equity is intended to give the successful candidate meaningful ownership in the company they are helping to build.
