Key Notes
Detailed knowledge of London Underground power distribution, HV/LV safety rules and operational outage planning is essential for this interface role. You’ll coordinate access, schedules, method statements, risk assessments and site readiness so investment and maintenance work integrates safely with the live railway. The permanent hybrid position pays £67,283 and includes HV power locations; applications close 25 September 2026.
What You'll Work On
- Forecast, schedule, issue and close planned power activities while maintaining the records required for London Underground operational control.
- Coordinate planning meetings, site-readiness reviews and access or outage arrangements with projects, maintainers and multidisciplinary stakeholders.
- Review and endorse work method statements and risk assessments against HV/LV safety rules, operational constraints and London Underground procedures.
- Resolve access and possession conflicts and advise projects or third parties on the safe release of power assets.

What They Are Looking For
Technical:
- Essential knowledge of the P&E power-distribution network, controlled locations, HV/LV safety rules and operational dependencies.
Experience:
- Applicants need ability to hold a safety-critical LV1 licence is essential.
- Outage planning and scheduling in an operational engineering environment is highly desirable.
- Applicants need experience reviewing risk assessments, controls, policies and safety-rule compliance.
Preferred:
- ONC or equivalent in electrical power engineering and railway electricity-network experience.
