Role Description
The Operations & Logistics Manager is a full-time, hybrid role based in the Manchester Area, United Kingdom, with some flexibility for work from home. This role oversees day-to-day logistics operations, including planning and coordinating inbound and outbound shipments, managing inventory levels, and ensuring timely delivery to customers and partners. The Operations & Logistics Manager will monitor supply chain performance, optimize processes, and collaborate with procurement and production teams to align material availability with manufacturing schedules. The role also involves managing relationships with logistics providers, resolving operational issues, and updating systems and reports to support accurate forecasting and decision-making. In addition, the manager will help maintain high customer service standards by addressing delivery-related inquiries and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.

- Strong Logistics Management and Supply Chain Management skills, with experience coordinating shipments and optimizing operational flows.
- Proficiency in Inventory Management, including stock control, demand planning, and use of inventory or ERP systems.
- Knowledge of Procurement processes, supplier coordination, and cost-effective sourcing of materials or services.
- Customer Service orientation, with the ability to manage delivery expectations and resolve logistics-related issues professionally.
- Proven experience in an operations, logistics, or supply chain management role within manufacturing or a related industry.
- Solid analytical and problem-solving abilities, including comfort with data analysis and performance metrics.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with internal teams, suppliers, and logistics partners.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with standard business software (e.g., spreadsheets, planning tools, ERP systems).
- Relevant vocational training or a degree in Operations Management, Supply Chain, Business, or a related field is beneficial.
