An exciting opportunity to join us on the new Sizewell C Project
Helping us to provide efficient operation and maintenance of SZC Generation Company's water management zones, boreholes and associated pumps and generators, surface water pipework, oil interceptors, fat traps and foul water network. Undertake daily environmental and water quality sampling from the water management zones and boreholes.

What you'll do
- Provide an operations and maintenance function for the water management zones, boreholes and associated pumps, pump stations and generators, surface water pipework, oil interceptors, fat traps and foul water network at SZC.
- Supervise the day-to-day activities of the team, including third party contractor work to ensure compliance with H&S standards and provide good value without risk to quality.
- Ensuring the teams monitor, maintain and check the assets owned on the required schedule and raising to the Operational Delivery Lead when issues occur.
- Liaising with other contractors to assist the Operational Delivery Leads in planning works.
- Promoting a culture of awareness to improve safety and reduce accidents / incidents protecting workforce from injury and company from prosecution.
- Support improvements in team productivity to make the most of resources and being able to show value to the client.
- Implement efficiencies and innovations in operations to provide cost savings to the client where applicable.
- Assisting with the teams when the Operational Delivery Lead is unavailable.
- Ensuring good liaison with SZC stakeholders – Site Operations, Environmental, Security, Construction Delivery Leads, Site Engineers, promoting a consistent approach, technical advice, and swift resolution of any identified problems.
- Managing interfaces with other departments, building relationships, and getting fast resolution of any issues.
- Partaking in the recruitment drives and interviewing of new talent.
- Support with the wider teams with supervision when required.
- Maximising all controllable factors to meet external quality targets.
- Responsible for own activities to ensure relevant KPI and SLA targets are achieved.
- Supervise third party contractor work to ensure compliance with H&S, standards, and good value without risk to quality.
- Participate in a 24/7 out of hours standby function.

What you'll need
- Experience in the Construction & Water industry, preferably over 2 years experience.
- Strong communication and team skills.
- Knowledge in water and waste treatment.
- H&S training and field practice – CSCS, Confined Spaces.
- Site Supervision Safety Training Scheme Qualification (SSTS).
