Location: UK based with support across Stafford, Leicester, Dalton, Kidderminster, Barnsley and Ireland sites
Contract: Fixed-Term / Short-Term Assignment
About the Role
We're looking for an experienced Operations Management Accountant to join our FP&A team and provide financial support across multiple manufacturing sites within the UK and Ireland. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded finance professional who enjoys working closely with operational teams, analysing performance, challenging results, and driving continuous improvement within a manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Delivering timely and accurate management information to support operational decision-making.
- Producing and analysing weekly production cost, stock variance and PPV reports.
- Investigating performance trends, identifying risks and opportunities, and providing actionable insights.
- Developing a strong understanding of plant product cost variances and fixed cost drivers.
- Supporting month-end close activities, including P&L and balance sheet analysis, commentary, and financial reporting.
- Ensuring accurate inventory valuation, accrual accounting and cost control processes.
- Partnering with Supply Chain, Operations and Shared Services teams to improve performance and financial accuracy.
- Supporting internal controls, compliance requirements and financial governance.
- Contributing to FP&A projects and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications
- Degree qualified in Finance, Accounting or a related discipline.
Required Skills
- Minimum 3 years' experience within a manufacturing, industrial finance or operations accounting environment.
- Part-qualified, qualified by experience (QBE), or fully qualified candidates will be considered.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex operational data.
- Advanced Excel skills and experience using ERP systems (SAP preferred).
- Ability to influence stakeholders, build strong working relationships and challenge constructively.
- Strong communication skills with excellent attention to detail.
