Our Business

Licenced by industry regulator Ofgem, Advanced Electricity Networks (AEN) is a trusted Independent Distribution Network Operator (IDNO). We own, maintain and expand electricity distribution assets, ensuring a safe, reliable and secure network for our customers across the UK.

Our Vacancy

We are looking for an experienced Operations Manager to oversee the end-to-end delivery of ICP projects from design approval through to energisation. The successful candidate will ensure safe, compliant, and timely delivery in line with AEN standards, while leading health & safety, fault management, and stakeholder coordination to maintain network reliability and operational excellence.

The ideal candidate will live within commuting distance of our Head Office in Braintree, Essex. However flexibility may be available for the right candidate.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with SAP experience who is ready for a new challenge in a growing start-up environment, offering a more agile working environment, greater autonomy and the chance to work on brand-new electricity networks.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
