Referment

Referment is working with a sector-led non-profit that helps schools and school groups use data and AI safely and effectively. The organisation provides governed open-source data infrastructure and shared analytical tools, and is building the operating model it needs to become an independent charity.

This is a broad, hands-on role for someone who can create the systems behind a growing organisation. You will work closely with the organisation lead and its incubator, bringing structure to governance, finance, suppliers, communications and team operations while keeping several workstreams moving at once.

The Role

• Build and improve operational processes, systems and controls, including procurement, contracts, subscriptions, access management and data governance.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, invoice review and financial reporting for leadership and governance groups.
• Run governance calendars and coordinate papers, records and logistics for steering and advisory groups, including preparations for charity obligations.
• Maintain the organisation’s website, professional community and communications channels, and coordinate relevant press enquiries and case studies.
• Plan events, webinars and conference activity, managing logistics from venues and speakers through to registration and follow-up.
• Act as the operational hub for a small team, spotting inefficiencies and putting practical solutions in place.
