The Role
You see more than just a spreadsheet; you see the story it tells and can explain it in plain English to a busy account team before their 9am client call.
We're hiring an Operations Manager on a 12-month fixed term basis to keep the business organised, informed, and moving while our current Operations Manager is on maternity leave. It's a hands-on coordination role at the centre of the agency, working closely with leadership, finance, and delivery teams, and it comes with a part-time Operations Executive to line manage and mentor.
Responsibilities:
- Be the person who keeps operational life at BIG ticking: meetings coordinated, actions followed up, deadlines visible, and nothing left to drift.
- Own our agency management system, Synergist, keeping the data behind our reporting accurate, and prepare the operational and commercial reports our teams rely on.
- Explain what the numbers mean so account teams can make sharper decisions about clients, jobs, and people.
- Serve as the friendly first port of call for process questions across the agency, from onboarding new starters to helping colleagues get unstuck, and spot where our ways of working could be simpler and make it happen.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
