Operations Manager Opportunity in East Sussex

My client is a global centre of excellence, specialising in the design and manufacture of electronic controllers, instrumentation, and drives.

About the Role

A fantastic job opportunity has arisen for a Operations Manager in East Sussex. The Operations Manager must have experience with PCBA and leading a manufacturing or production team.

Responsibilities

The Operations Manager will provide strategic leadership across Production, Engineering, Test, Planning and Continuous Improvement functions, developing high-performing teams while driving a culture of accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement. The role will be responsible for delivering operational excellence across safety, quality, delivery, cost and people metrics, ensuring resources and capabilities are aligned to business objectives and customer demand. Working closely with cross-functional teams, the successful candidate will champion Lean Manufacturing principles, lead transformation and continuous improvement initiatives, optimise manufacturing performance through process improvement and technology investment, and support new product introduction while ensuring the operation remains efficient, scalable and capable of meeting both current and future business requirements.

Essential Requirements

  • Significant senior management experience within a complex manufacturing environment.
  • Proven track record of leading multiple operational functions including production, engineering and planning.
  • Experience developing and executing operational strategies that support business growth and performance.
  • Demonstrated success delivering operational change, organisational transformation and continuous improvement programmes.
  • Experience developing managers and building high-performing teams.
