Operations Manager - Leakage Framework

Location: Scotland (Edinburgh, Lanarkshire & Borders)

Salary: Up to £52,000 DOE

Our client is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead the delivery of a major Leakage Framework contract across Scotland's South Region. Reporting to the senior leadership team, you will be responsible for operational performance, health & safety, people management, customer service, and commercial delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead field-based operational teams across the region.
  • Ensure contractual, customer, and performance targets are achieved.
  • Drive operational efficiency and continuous improvement.
  • Promote a strong health, safety, and wellbeing culture.
  • Manage budgets, performance data, and operational reporting.
  • Develop, motivate, and support operational teams.
  • Build strong relationships with clients and key stakeholders.
  • Support recruitment, training, succession planning, and employee development.

Essential Requirements

  • Proven Operations Manager or Senior Operations leadership experience.
  • Strong people management and leadership skills.
  • Excellent health & safety knowledge.
  • Experience managing operational performance and budgets.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Ability to analyse data, solve problems, and drive improvement.

Desirable

  • Utilities, water, leakage, or field operations experience.
  • Experience managing geographically dispersed teams.
  • Knowledge of Scottish Water frameworks.
  • Power BI or advanced Excel reporting skills.
