Elior Support Services – The People Behind Every Plate

We’re looking for an experienced Operations Manager to join our Healthcare division, leading a portfolio of around four large contracts across the North, covering sites from Nottingham through to Liverpool. You’ll be responsible for the operational and commercial performance of your contracts, working closely with Site Managers and teams to deliver high standards of service, customer experience and financial performance.

We’re looking for someone with strong retail or multi-site operational experience who is confident leading large, diverse teams and managing complex contracts. Previous hospital or healthcare experience isn’t essential, but you’ll need to be operating at Operations Manager level or be an experienced Operations Support professional ready to take that next step.

5 days over 7 (predominantly Monday to Friday)

Salary

£52,000 to £54,000 + Company Car/Car Allowance and 15% KPI performance bonus

What you’ll be serving up…

As an Operations Manager, you’ll be responsible for the operational and commercial performance of your sites, leading and developing teams to deliver an efficient, high-quality service to Elior UK, our customers and clients.

  • Leading, motivating and developing teams across multiple sites
  • Supporting Site Managers with recruitment, training, development and performance management
  • Managing budgets and identifying opportunities to improve financial performance
  • Building strong internal and external relationships, including client liaison and management reporting
  • Driving operational excellence, customer service and consistently high standards
  • Supporting menu planning and ensuring food quality and service standards are maintained
  • Planning and delivering effective mobilisation and demobilisation of contracts, working with relevant support functions
  • Ensuring sites operate in line with Elior’s policies, procedures, compliance requirements and brand standards

The ingredients you'll bring...

  • Proven experience managing multiple sites and teams, ideally within contract catering or a similar multi-site environment
  • Strong commercial understanding, with experience managing budgets, controlling costs and driving financial performance
  • Experience building and maintaining successful client and customer relationships
  • A genuine passion for delivering customer service excellence
  • The ability to inspire, motivate and develop large, diverse teams
  • Strong communication, organisational and relationship-building skills
  • A proactive approach with the ability to manage competing priorities effectively
  • Experience of contract catering is desirable, but we’re also open to candidates with strong transferable multi-site operational experience.
