Site Operations Manager

Are you a natural leader who thrives in fast-paced environments? Do you have a passion for operational excellence and safety culture? Want to play a key role in supporting one of the UK’s most significant infrastructure projects?

Here at GXO, we’re looking for a Site Operations Manager to lead our Desford site, ensuring operational KPIs are met, safety standards are upheld, and teams are developed to deliver excellence.

At Hinkley Point C, we’re building two new nuclear reactors – the first in a new generation of power stations delivering zero-carbon electricity for around six million homes. This is a full-time permanent position. You’ll be working Monday to Friday, between the hours of 06:00 and 18:00, covering 37.5 hours per week. However, some flexibility is required, this is logistics after all!

Pay, benefits and more:

  • We’re looking to offer a salary of up to £50,000 per annum, and 25 days annual leave (plus bank holidays).
  • A company sponsored pension scheme, life assurance and death in service.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
