Operations Manager
A vacancy has arisen for the position of Operations Manager, who, reporting directly to the Commercial Director, will be responsible for managing the warehouse and distribution operation.
Key Requirements
Candidates must have at least two years’ experience of successfully managing a busy warehouse and distribution team. They must have proven experience of delivering excellent service and effective management of departmental budgets.
The successful applicant will be a self-starter and a responsible individual who will be able to work with minimum supervision. Excellent IT, interpersonal and presentation skills together with a high level of numeracy and literacy are essential. They will be able to demonstrate excellent people management and motivational skills.

Possession of a Certificate of Professional Competence qualification is desirable. A good knowledge of cask ale and wine would be an advantage.

- Staff recruitment, appraisal and development
- Commercial fleet operations and legal compliance
- Property, plant and equipment
- Stock control
- Customer delivery service levels
- Budgeting control
- Security

In addition to the above, the successful applicant will need to demonstrate an appreciation of the wider Oakham Ales business vision and a sound knowledge of the drinks industry as they will be required to represent the Operations function on the Management Team.
This is a highly demanding role, which will suit an ambitious, focused, and determined individual who wishes to be part of a very forward-thinking and driven management team.
