Role Description

The Operations Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Manchester. This position is responsible for overseeing daily store operations, including staff scheduling, supervision, and performance management. The Operations Manager will monitor inventory levels, coordinate stock replenishment, and ensure accurate ordering to meet customer demand. The role includes maintaining store standards, health and safety compliance, and adherence to company policies and procedures. The Operations Manager will track sales and operational metrics, identify areas for improvement, implement process changes, and collaborate with senior management to support business goals and customer satisfaction.

  • Experience in retail or multi-site operations management, with a strong focus on store performance and day-to-day supervision.
  • Proficiency in staff leadership, including team development, training, and performance feedback.
  • Strong skills in inventory control, stock management, and basic budgeting or cost control.
  • Ability to analyze operational and sales data, identify trends, and implement practical improvements.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and customers.
  • Knowledge of health and safety standards and compliance in a retail environment.
  • Comfort with using point-of-sale systems and common office software for reporting and planning.
  • Previous experience in ethnic or Asian food retail is an advantage, along with an understanding of local customer needs.
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and peak trading periods, as required.
  • Relevant qualification in business, management, or a related field is beneficial but not essential, combined with demonstrable operational experience.
