Operations Manager
Cheshire | £85,000 - £95,000 + Benefits
Our client is a well-established international manufacturer operating within a highly regulated process manufacturing environment.
With a strong foundation, an experienced workforce and a clear vision for the future, the business is entering an exciting phase of operational development.
As part of this journey, they are seeking an Operations Manager to play a pivotal leadership role in driving performance, developing capability and helping shape the future direction of the site's manufacturing operation.
This is a visible, hands-on leadership position offering genuine autonomy and influence. Reporting directly to senior site leadership, you will have responsibility for day-to-day production operations whilst helping to create a safer, more efficient and increasingly high-performing manufacturing environment.
The Opportunity

About You
You will be a visible and credible operational leader with a passion for developing people and improving performance.
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
- Proven experience leading production or manufacturing operations within a COMAH-regulated environment, ideally at an upper-tier COMAH site.
- A strong understanding of the operational, cultural and regulatory nuances associated with COMAH manufacturing, including process safety, management of change, safe systems of work and regulatory compliance.
- Experience balancing production performance with the high standards of safety, governance and operational discipline required in major hazard environments.
- A background within speciality chemicals, fine chemicals, pharmaceuticals or a similarly complex process manufacturing sector.
- Experience leading teams across multi-shift manufacturing operations.
- A track record of improving operational performance, accountability and consistency whilst maintaining a strong safety culture.
- The ability to engage effectively with colleagues at every level, from operators and supervisors through to senior leadership.
