💻 Operations Manager

📍 Wilmslow, Cheshire

💷 £42,000 – £46,000 +

A new chapter, and a seat at the table from day one

Our client is a premier luxury chauffeur company serving some of the most high-profile people in the country, including A-list names, elite sport, senior executives and VIP clients who expect nothing less than flawless. They run a premium Mercedes fleet including EQS and V-Class, with operations reaching across the North West and London.

The business has just gone through a very exciting transition. Following a buyout, it has a new leadership structure, fresh investment and a clear ambition to grow significantly over the next four years. It's a genuinely exciting time to join, and it's all hands on deck to build the next phase. This is where you come in. They are looking for an Operations Manager to take full ownership of the operations team and help shape what this business becomes. This is not a role where you inherit someone else's way of doing things and maintain it. You will set the standard, build the culture and lead from the front at a pivotal moment in the company's story.

The role You'll lead a team of 8–9 people across customer service, planning and control. You won't be on the phones taking bookings. Your job is to lead the people who do, and make sure every client gets the elevated, faultless service the brand is known for. You'll report directly into the Chief Administrative Officer, part of the new senior leadership team.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

You will:

  • Take complete ownership of the operations team, including their performance, development, rota and day-to-day management
  • Build a team culture where people take pride in going the extra mile and saying "yes, we can make that happen"
  • Make sure planning, scheduling and dispatch run smoothly and ahead of time so the service never drops
  • Act as the escalation point when things don't go to plan and make sure they're resolved properly
  • Hold the service standard high across every booking, every client and every journey
  • Work closely with senior leadership to improve how operations run as the business scales

People management is everything here

This role is about people. The business wants someone who can build a strong, motivated team, get the very best out of the people around them and create real accountability. If you're the kind of manager whose teams want to perform for you, you'll be right at home.

Who they're looking for

You do not need chauffeur or luxury transport experience. What matters is a strong background in operations and people management. Candidates coming from logistics, transport, haulage, courier, private hire or any planning-led operational environment will be a great fit.
