C£45,000 p.a.

The Company:
ER Recruitment are excited to be working with our client, an established and prestigious visitor attraction offering a unique historic and cultural experience and welcoming thousands of visitors each year. They are now looking for an Operations Manager to take responsibility for the smooth day-to-day operation of the visitor attraction, ensuring an exceptional experience for visitors and a well-organised, motivated and supported team.
This is a highly hands-on role, with the successful candidate spending much of their time out on the floor, working closely with teams and resolving issues as they arise.
Role & Responsibilities of the Operations Manager:
- Take ownership of the smooth day-to-day running of the visitor attraction and the experience delivered to guests.
- Lead and develop guides, volunteers, reception and ticket office teams, including recruitment, training, rotas and staff development.
- Oversee HR administration and ensure people processes are managed effectively.
- Champion health & safety, ensuring standards, risk assessments and compliance are maintained.
- Work closely with Sales & Events to ensure events are delivered seamlessly on the ground.
- Be a visible, hands-on presence across the attraction, tackling issues quickly and finding practical solutions.
- Work collaboratively across the business to continually improve operational standards, efficiency and customer experience.

About You as the Operations Manager:
- Experience within a visitor attraction, hospitality, leisure, tourism or similar customer-focused environment.
- A strong people leader who can motivate, develop and earn the respect of a diverse team.
- Highly organised, efficient and detail-oriented, with the ability to keep multiple priorities moving.
- Confident managing HR administration, recruitment, training and rotas, with a good understanding of health & safety.
- An exceptional communicator and natural problem solver who stays calm and positive when things get busy.
- Above all, a hands-on, approachable and proactive doer who genuinely enjoys being part of the team and making things happen.
