H Beauty: Operations Manager

H beauty is no normal beauty hall, with interactive play tables to try on the latest products, a Harrods gift shop, and a big pink bear for your Instagram pictures; we are focused on the experience our customers have when they walk through our doors.

The Operations Manager

The Operations Manager is a key part of the Store leadership team. As an exceptional and full-rounded leader, you will be accountable for all the operational aspects within the store and working collaboratively with the rest of the management team to achieve and deliver our business vision of Anything Is Possible in the world of beauty.

About the Role

As a highly skilled operational individual, you will lead on the vision and operational duties set for your store. Always with an eye on the results of today, you are also anticipating the trends of tomorrow and influencing key stakeholders as a result. You will be an integral part of all strategic plans for your store which you will constantly be reviewing and feeding back on, by taking full ownership of the operation for the store – both having full accountability for the own-bought business and creating a constructive partnership with our concessions.

You will also:

  • Strive to develop new ideas and strategies to help your colleagues enhance customer experience and drive incremental trade, by ensuring high operational efficiency in the store.
  • Take full ownership and accountability of all stock management KPIs and objectives, ensuring they are met and controlling an efficient replenishment operation through accuracy and commercial awareness.
  • Be responsible for compliance of operational processes (i.e. Banking, FHS, etc.).
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with all relevant support functions and act as a role model for the rest of the team.
  • Be able to support and enable the deliverance of the goals set by the Store Manager in relation to the direction of your team.

About You

You will be an inspired and empowered leader who can work wonders to support our vision to not only drive new revenues but also bring the Harrods story, experience, values, and magic to new customers. You will also have high levels of emotional intelligence and awareness with the ability to flex your style to suit the team you have. You will also require the ability and confidence to analyse and interpret data sources to then take the appropriate actions to allow the data to have the most relevant impact.

You will also:

  • Be able to work flexible hours/days (including late and night shifts where required) and demonstrate the ability to adapt to the changing demands of the role.
  • Be a relationship-led leader who likes being present with your colleagues helping your team to be their best.
  • Be resilient as you will be working to actively seek constructive feedback for continuous improvement from your business stakeholders.
  • Have a relentless focus on delivering to the best of your ability for your team and store.
  • You will set an example for the right ways of working from the get-go, you will have a strong HR policy and employment law awareness.
  • You are self-aware and comfortable operating in ambiguity. It is a new concept; we are evolving.
