Operations Manager at Ollerton Site

Are you a proven leader who thrives in a fast-paced eCommerce environment? Can you inspire Shift Managers and large operational teams to consistently exceed customer expectations? Do you have the commercial awareness to balance performance, cost control, safety, and people development?

If you answered yes, then GXO has an exciting opportunity for an Operations Manager at our Ollerton site. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced operational leader to take ownership of site performance, drive continuous improvement, and lead a team of Shift Managers to deliver outstanding service, productivity, and safety standards.

Role Overview

As Operations Manager, you’ll provide leadership and direction to Shift Managers, ensuring operational excellence across the site while maintaining a safe, engaged, and customer-focused culture.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of Shift Managers, creating a high-performing culture focused on engagement, accountability, and results
  • Drive operational performance against agreed KPIs, SLAs, productivity targets, and customer service expectations
  • Champion a safety-first culture, ensuring compliance with all Health & Safety policies, procedures, and training requirements
  • Manage operational planning and labor resource utilization to ensure service excellence during peak and seasonal demand periods
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives that reduce costs, improve efficiencies, and enhance site performance

Requirements

  • Proven experience managing multiple direct reports at Shift Manager level or equivalent within a fast-paced logistics or warehouse operation
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate, coach, and develop large operational teams
  • Experience working within an eCommerce, retail distribution, or high-volume warehouse environment
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret operational data and make informed decisions
  • Strong planning, prioritization, and organizational skills, with the ability to perform effectively under pressure and adapt quickly to changing priorities

Work Schedule

This is a full-time, permanent position. You will work on a ‘4 on 4 off’ basis, covering the hours of 19:00 till 07:00.
