Operations Manager

Job Location: United Kingdom
Job Type: Permanent
Remuneration: Competitive salary taking into account skills, experience and qualifications

We have a fantastic opportunity for an Operations Manager to join our award-winning Subsidence division.

You'll lead a team of Claims Technicians. They play a key part in progressing claims, supporting the claim owners and making sure the process keeps moving. You'll make sure your team is organised, motivated and delivering an excellent service to our clients and their customers.

You'll be responsible for team performance and day-to-day enquiries. You'll spot training needs and make sure they're met, keep team morale high, manage absence and carry out appraisals. Above all, you'll lead by example and model the behaviours needed to deliver excellence for customers and clients.

If you're looking for a role that combines office and remote working, so you can balance work and life while leading a supportive team, this could be perfect for you.

Requirements

The skills you will have when you apply:

  • Operational management experience: You've managed a team in a busy, customer-focused office or operations environment, or you're a Senior Claims Technician or Team Leader ready for the next step.
  • Organised and good people management skills: You're organised and accountable, and you can lead and motivate a team.
  • Subsidence knowledge (desirable): Experience of subsidence claims would be helpful but isn't essential.
  • Performance focus: You're comfortable managing workloads, productivity and service levels so the team meets client and customer expectations.
  • Leading by example: You can manage the team while modelling the behaviours needed to deliver excellent service.
  • Decisive and resilient: You resolve matters decisively and stay flexible during times of surge.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and empathy: You build strong relationships with your team, colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Adaptable and forward-thinking: You cope well in a fast-changing environment and want to embrace innovative ways of working.
  • IT literate: You have a good working knowledge of Microsoft packages such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
