Role Summary
Ownership of an operations team within the site. Daily delivery of the production plan and targets. Accountable for driving the key performance indicators in the department on safety, quality, cost, performance, and team morale.
Key Responsibilities
- Leads the continuous improvement of the department on all KPIs
- Ensures compliance with all processes within the department, i.e., operational meetings, SOC reviews, SOP / OPL, etc.
- Leads an effective root cause analysis process for the department with a focus on eradicating problems
- Leads the implementation of KHMS pillars within the department
- Delivers leader standard work with a focus on how we grow/improve the department
- Assists with the supervision of the planning, organizing, and directing of production activities and employee placement/training/development to cost-effectively produce a high-quality finished product
- Responsible for coordinating all activities within the assigned area of the plant, including managing multiple Production Supervisors
- Accountable for all financial, safety, quality, and regulatory matters in the assigned area of the plant
- Ensures all food preparation and packaging is compliant with the guidelines of Good Manufacturing Practices and Food Safety regulations
- Manages operations to achieve daily efficiencies in keeping with established standards
- Manages the budget of the assigned department in accordance with annual productivity improvement targets
- Prepares departmental costs and variances with regard to productivity, short and long-range planning, labor scheduling, product scheduling, raw materials, packaging supplies, product weights, sanitation, and housekeeping
