Operations Manager – Japanese Trading Company
Ref: 23564
Salary: £27,000–£32,000 per annum (depending on experience and skills)
Location: London
Job status: Permanent
Working hours: Monday–Friday, 9:00–17:00
Working arrangement: Office-based, Monday–Friday
Start date: ASAP
Our client is a trading company specialising in unique Japanese products, and is looking for an Operations Manager to support its growing UK business.
Operations Manager – Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day operational activities, including stock, orders and deliveries.
- Manage inventory levels and ensure products are available when required.
- Handle purchase orders, sales orders, invoicing and delivery arrangements.
- Liaise with suppliers, customers and logistics partners to ensure smooth operations.
- Support the company’s E-commerce operations, including order processing, stock updates and customer enquiries.
- Maintain accurate product, stock and order records.
- Monitor stock levels and identify potential shortages or overstock issues.
- Support product launches, promotions and other commercial activities.
- Help improve operational processes and ensure efficient day-to-day business operations.
- Work closely with the management team and other departments to support the continued growth of the business.

Operations Manager – Requirements:
- Previous experience in operations, order management, supply chain, stock control or a similar role.
- Experience managing stock of B2C products would be advantageous.
- E-commerce experience would be highly desirable.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills, with excellent attention to detail.
- Good communication and problem-solving skills.
- Comfortable working with suppliers, customers and external partners.
- Good Excel and general Microsoft Office skills.
- Proactive, reliable and hands-on approach to work.
- An interest in Japanese culture and products.
- Japanese language skills would be an advantage, but are not essential.
