£65,000 - £75,000, per annum, dependant on experience
Location: Harrogate, Head Office, hybrid - remote

An exciting new opportunity has arisen within Evolve Psychology Services to join our growing Expert Witness Service.
Founded in 2014 by Dr Laura Powling, Evolve Psychology began with a bold aim to redefine what clinical and neurodevelopmental psychology means in practice. Laura’s vision was simple yet powerful: to bring care, connection, empathy, and clinical excellence together, with no compromise.
What started as a small practice delivering expert witness and neurodevelopmental assessments has grown into an international independent psychology and neurodevelopmental service providing services across the UK, Ireland and beyond.
In the UK, we provide services through the NHS and private, specialising in a variety of pathways, including:
- NHS-funded neurodevelopmental assessments via Right to Choose (online when clinically appropriate and in-person)
- Private neurodevelopmental assessments (online when clinically appropriate and in-person)
- SpLD assessments, including dyslexia and dyscalculia
- Intellectual disability assessments, including cognitive
The Role
As Evolve Psychology Services continues to grow, we are looking for Operations Manager to develop and deliver the operational growth plan for the Expert Services division of our service, ensuring alignment with the organisation's wider strategy and financial goals.
You will be responsible for:
- Driving growth through service development, market analysis, and expansion into new specialist assessment areas.
- Building and managing a high-quality national panel of expert clinicians, including recruitment, onboarding, training, and performance management.
- Developing new service areas and pathways, including psychological, neurodevelopmental, cognitive, learning disability, capacity, and other specialist assessments.
- Developing relationships with solicitors, barristers, agencies, commissioners, and other stakeholders to increase referral opportunities.
- Overseeing operational delivery from instruction through to assessment, report production, invoicing, and case closure.
- Establishing and monitoring KPIs, service standards, performance dashboards, and growth targets.
- Forecasting workforce requirements and managing capacity, utilisation, workload allocation, and service demand.
- Improving efficiency through scalable processes, standard operating procedures, technology, and automation.
- Maintaining robust quality assurance, governance, compliance, and risk management frameworks.
- Monitoring client satisfaction, service performance, profitability, and commercial viability of existing and new services.
- Ensuring services comply with relevant professional standards, court requirements, data protection, information governance, and contractual requirements.
- Producing growth, operational, and financial reports for senior leadership, identifying risks, opportunities, and recommendations.
- Acting as the key operational link between clinicians, administration, finance, governance, marketing, and senior leadership.
- Developing and delivering a roadmap to establish Expert Services as a recognised national provider.

Qualifications and experience
- Experience working within expert witness, healthcare, psychology, legal, or regulated professional services environments in an Operational Management role.
- Proven track record of delivering business growth, revenue generation, and operational improvement.
- Experience developing and implementing strategic business plans and growth roadmaps.
- Experience managing multidisciplinary teams and remote workforces.
- Experience leading organisational change, service transformation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Experience developing and monitoring KPIs, performance metrics, and management information reporting.
- Demonstrable stakeholder management experience, including building relationships with clients, commissioners, legal professionals, and senior leaders.
- Knowledge of quality assurance, audit processes, and clinical or professional governance frameworks.
- Understanding of the UK legal system, Family Court, Court of Protection, criminal justice, or Medico-Legal sectors.
- Experience supporting recruitment, workforce planning, and talent development.
- Degree-level qualification in Business Management, Operations Management, Law, Healthcare Management, Psychology, or a related field (desirable).
