About The Role...
As an Operations Manager, you will play a pivotal role in delivering some of the organisation's most challenging and innovative projects. Reporting to the Technical & Innovation Director, you will lead the operational delivery of frameworks, schemes and complex works across the South, while supporting projects throughout the UK.
Working alongside industry-leading Subject Matter Experts, you will ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards. You will lead operational teams, influence strategic delivery decisions and build strong customer relationships, helping to drive business growth and operational excellence.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading and coordinating the day-to-day operational delivery of framework activities, projects and complex works
- Supporting the development of delivery plans, operational strategies and resource forecasts
- Acting as the operational lead for customers and stakeholders, ensuring contractual commitments, KPIs and project objectives are achieved
- Providing performance reporting, operational updates and technical insights to internal and external stakeholders
- Leading, coaching and developing operational teams to maximise capability, engagement and performance
- Managing resource planning, project mobilisation and workforce allocation across multiple workstreams
- Working collaboratively with technical specialists to ensure effective delivery of innovative solutions
- Overseeing project planning, scheduling and reporting through company systems
- Monitoring operational performance and implementing corrective actions where required
- Driving continuous improvement initiatives across operational processes, systems and teams
- Ensuring compliance with Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality standards
- Managing incident response activities and ensuring effective restoration and service recovery
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with customers, partners and stakeholders
- Representing the Technical & Innovation Team at client meetings, operational reviews and project forums
- Supporting the growth and reputation of Ipsum within the UK utilities and water sectors

About You...
We are looking for a motivated and experienced operational leader with a strong track record in utilities, construction and/or framework delivery environments.
You should have:

- Experience working in at least two of the following sectors: Utilities, Construction or Framework Delivery
- Proven leadership experience managing and developing operational teams
- Experience delivering projects, programmes or operational workstreams
- Strong organisational, planning and resource management skills
- Experience managing customer relationships and contractual obligations
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
- Experience handling escalations and resolving operational challenges
- Strong commercial, financial and analytical skills
- Experience managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Full UK Driving Licence
You will also demonstrate:
