Role Description
The Operations Manager is a temporary, on-site role based in Tonbridge, responsible for overseeing daily security operations and ensuring service delivery meets client requirements. The role involves scheduling and coordinating door supervisors, event security personnel, and stewards, as well as managing staffing levels and resource allocation. The Operations Manager will supervise on-the-ground teams, conduct site checks, monitor performance, and address operational issues promptly. This position also involves liaising with clients, preparing operational plans for events, maintaining compliance with relevant regulations and company policies, and supporting incident reporting and follow-up actions. The Operations Manager will collaborate with training staff to ensure personnel maintain appropriate skills and qualifications and will contribute to continuous improvement of operational processes.

- Operations and team management skills, including staff coordination, scheduling, and performance oversight.
- Experience in security or event operations, with a solid understanding of door supervision, event security, and stewarding practices.
- Strong communication and client relationship skills, with the ability to work effectively with both internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Ability to assess risks, implement safety procedures, and ensure compliance with relevant security regulations and company policies.
- Good problem-solving and decision-making abilities, especially in fast-paced or high-pressure environments.
- Competence in basic administrative and IT tasks, including reporting, documentation, and use of scheduling or management software.
- Relevant security qualifications or licenses (such as SIA certification) are highly beneficial.
- Previous experience in supervisory or managerial roles within the security or events sector is an advantage.
