Operations Manager Opportunity

We have a fantastic opportunity for an Operations Manager to join the leadership team at a well established Civil Engineering / Highway Contractor, based in Essex.

Salary: £80,000 - £100,000 + Car, Bonus & Benefits

We’re looking for a manager with excellent Team Leadership & Client Relationship Building experience, ideally with a background in Highway Maintenance, Surfacing or Road Improvements.

Suitable candidates must have experience of running large teams of operational staff, including planning and programming, resource and supply chain management, ensuring that health & safety standards are being maintained, recruitment of new team members, driving down costs and improving profitability, and enhancing the client relationship.

  • Leading the pre-planning, pre-programming and overall delivery of works, ensuring client satisfaction throughout. Ensuring site surveys and meetings carried out at appropriate project stages by relevant team members as required.
  • Lead and manage site teams, contracts manager, subcontractors, and suppliers coordinating daily activities and communication between all stakeholders.
  • Ensuring that the works programme is fully resourced with labour, plant and materials.
  • Working closely with Management team to effectively communicate and deliver all contract requirements.
  • Overseeing project performance including regular site audits.
