Operations Manager
Could you inspire and support teams to deliver outstanding care to older people?
Are you an experienced Care Home Manager, or do you have experience in care home operational management, with a passion for helping older people flourish?
Would you like to use your leadership skills in a Christian organisation where faith and care go hand in hand?
Pilgrims' Friend Society is seeking an Operations Manager to join our dedicated team, overseeing a portfolio of care homes across the country.
You'll play a vital part in providing essential support and leadership to our care & business managers and delivering high-quality care services rooted in our Christian ethos.
We are a Christian charity with a 200-year legacy of caring for older people and equipping churches for ministry in later life. With 14 care homes and 9 housing schemes across England and Scotland, we are passionate about helping older people live fulfilled, dignified lives.

Key Responsibilities
- Support the delivery of the Society's vision for care in all residential homes;
- Line manage and develop Registered and Business Managers, providing regular supervision, appraisals, coaching and leadership development.
- Audit and review performance, support regulatory inspections and help ensure our services consistently meet regulatory requirements and internal standards.
- Support the management and monitoring of budgets, helping managers understand and deliver their financial responsibilities.
- Help embed our care strategy and the Way We Care across our homes
- Work alongside the Director and Assistant Director of Operations to implement strategic goals;
- Support marketing, occupancy, and communications strategies for the homes;
- Serve as a primary contact for operational queries and assist in resolving service-user-related issues;
- Participate in on-call support as part of the leadership team.

About You
- Experience in a management or operational leadership position as a Registered Care Home Manager or nursing qualification
- Experience of leading, coaching and developing managers and teams.
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in a residential care setting;
- Strong understanding of care quality, compliance, and CQC standards;
- Experience of working with budgets and monitoring operational performance
- Excellent communicator with strong organisational and interpersonal skills;
- Willing to travel nationwide as required (minimum once a week);
- Personally aligned with the Christian faith and supportive of our mission and values.

Hours
- 40 hours per week, usually worked over 5 days
- "On-call" cover required to meet service demands
