KAAP Freight Services is a London-headquartered freight forwarding company managing end-to-end logistics — import, export, and relocation — across pharmaceuticals, electronics, and e-commerce, known for reliable port-to-door delivery and strong customs expertise.
About the Role
We're looking for an experienced Operations Manager to oversee day-to-day freight operations, ensuring shipments move smoothly from booking through customs clearance to final delivery, and to build robust processes as the company scales.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee end-to-end shipment operations across ocean and road freight (FCL/LCL)
- Coordinate customs clearance and export/import documentation
- Manage relationships with shipping lines, hauliers, ports (including Tilbury and Teesport), and overseas agents
- Monitor shipments and proactively resolve delays, including for time-sensitive cargo
- Build and refine internal operational processes and SOPs
- Liaise with sales on pricing, capacity, and client requirements
- Manage and mentor junior operations staff

What We're Looking For
- Proven experience in freight forwarding or logistics operations management
- Strong knowledge of customs procedures, Incoterms, and shipping documentation
- Experience managing FCL/LCL ocean freight and road transport
- Full UK right to work; based in or able to commute to our Fleet Street office
