Operations Manager

Ready to step into a high-impact leadership role and help shape a modern manufacturing operation? This Operations Manager position offers a fantastic opportunity to drive lean thinking, strengthen continuous improvement, and deliver measurable results across day-to-day production. The role sits at the heart of quality, cost, and delivery performance, giving you a clear route to influence real change in a specialist manufacturing environment.

What You Will Do:

  • Lead and motivate an experienced team to improve on-time delivery for UK and international customers as an Operations Manager.
  • Own the development of manufacturing capability, quality standards, and performance against SQCPD targets within the Quality Management System.
  • Create a high-performance, continuous improvement culture using Lean Six Sigma tools and techniques as Operations Manager.
  • Ensure manufacturing operations meet Safety, Health and Environmental requirements consistently, in line with company standards.
  • Provide leadership, training, and support to ensure production capability and resources meet present and predicted demand.
  • Report directly into the Managing Director and help deliver site-wide transformation as part of a Senior Management Team.

What You Will Bring:

  • Proven Operations Management experience, including people leadership and measurable productivity improvements.
  • Strong lean manufacturing experience and a track record of sustainable culture change.
  • Experience working in an MRP/ERP manufacturing environment, operating to ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 standards.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the confidence to challenge tradition constructively.
  • Demonstrable commercial acumen, including departmental budgeting, cost reduction initiatives, CAPEX justification, and resource planning.
