Cammach are delighted to be recruiting an Operations Manager for a permanent opportunity with our client, a well-established welding and fabrication company based North of Aberdeen. This is an excellent opportunity to join an established business and play a key role in the successful management and delivery of its day-to-day operations.
ROLE
Operations
- Manage the day-to-day fabrication operations, ensuring work is delivered safely, on time, to the required quality standards and in line with customer requirements.
Business Development

Work closely with the Directors to:
- Support and deliver the growth strategy for fabrication and site/offshore services.
- Support the development of new business streams and scopes.

Responsibilities

- Champion and comply with the organisation’s HSE requirements, promoting a strong safety culture and good housekeeping across the workshop.
- Ensure fabrication, quality and inspection procedures are consistently followed.
- Plan, coordinate and monitor workshop activities to achieve agreed schedules and delivery dates.
- Delegate projects and work instructions to Operations Supervisors and the Delivery Coordinator.
- Ensure effective completion and administration of timesheets, overtime, holiday requests, return-to-work processes, inductions and timekeeping.
- Lead regular production meetings and ensure schedules accurately reflect project progress and delivery requirements.
- Maintain and update project execution plans and trackers in conjunction with the Project Manager or nominated delegate.
- Carry out routine inspections of fabrication activities and project progress.
- Ensure regular toolbox talks are conducted with workshop and coordination teams.
- Support the close-out of improvement reports and Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs).
- Liaise with the QC Manager regarding piping and structural weld repairs, rework and associated quality issues.
- Work collaboratively with Operations, Projects and QC teams to resolve issues and maintain delivery performance.
