Cammach are delighted to be recruiting an Operations Manager for a permanent opportunity with our Aberdeen-based client, a specialist provider of engineering, fabrication, and personnel services. This is an excellent opportunity to join an established business and play a key role in the successful delivery of its operations.

Responsibilities

Business Development

  • Work closely with Directors to deliver and support a growth strategy for fabrication and site/offshore services.
  • Support the development of new business stream scopes.

Operations Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities

  • Comply with and champion the organization's health and safety requirements.
  • Ensure key organization's fabrication quality process procedures are followed:
    • Goods Receipt
    • Job Pack
    • Fabrication & Inspection (fabrication steps)
    • Welding Consumable Controls
    • Dispatch
    • Communication Process
  • Planning and monitoring works within the workshop(s).
  • Delegation of projects/work instructions to Operations Supervisors & Delivery Coordinator.
  • Ensure the following are completed by Supervisors/Delivery Coordinator:
    • Timesheets prior to submission to accounts.
    • Overtime availability.
    • Return to work (post absence).
    • Holiday requests.
    • New Start Induction forms.
    • New induction forms are completed.
    • All are registered on the time clock machine.
  • Lead production meetings and ensure the production schedule reflects actual progression and delivery dates.
  • Ensure large project scope plans are updated in conjunction with PRP Project Manager (or nominated delegate).
  • Spool Tracker
  • Specific structural execution plans.
  • Carry out routine inspection of projects within the workshop.
  • Promote the HSE culture and good housekeeping throughout the workshop.
  • Ensure regular toolbox box talks are held with workshop personnel & coordination team.
  • Participate in the close-out of an Improvement report and NCR’s.
  • Interface with QC Manager for:
    • Structural – weld repairs & plating re-works.
    • Piping - weld repairs & pipework re-works.
  • May be requested at times to perform other tasks and work additional hours in abnormal situations to ensure customer requirements are achieved.
