Operations Manager
Minster Cleaning is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to take responsibility for the day-to-day delivery of commercial cleaning services across customer sites throughout Essex.
This is primarily an office-based role but may include occasional customer site visits. The successful candidate will manage our Cleaning Supervisors, oversee recruitment and service cover, monitor cleaning standards, and handle operational customer complaints.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing and developing the supervisory team
- Addressing performance issues promptly and fairly
- Overseeing recruitment, vacancies, and absence cover
- Monitoring complaints, quality standards, and contracts at risk
- Coordinating mobile and relief-cleaning resources
- Controlling overtime and operational costs
- Ensuring actions are followed through to completion
- Providing clear operational reporting to the Managing Director

We are looking for a confident and organized people manager with experience of multi-site service delivery and managing a field-based workforce. Commercial cleaning, soft-services, or facilities-management experience would be highly desirable.

The successful candidate must be comfortable making routine operational decisions independently and capable of maintaining effective control when several issues arise simultaneously.
A full UK driving license is required. The position is currently based in Great Dunmow, although the business may relocate to a more central Essex location in the future.
