Operations Manager - Droylsden & Guide Bridge Medical Practices

Job Summary

gtd healthcare is one of the largest NHS commissioned Primary and Urgent care providers in North West England. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a skilled primary care Operations Manager to lead the operations at two of our GP practices, Droylsden Medical Practice and Guide Bridge Medical Practice.

Droylsden Medical Practice is a practice located in Droylsden, Manchester. The practice serves over 4000 registered patients.

Guide Bridge Medical Practice is a practice located in Audenshaw, Manchester. The practice serves over 5000 registered patients.

This is a high-profile appointment, and we are looking for an excellent candidate with operations management experience and somebody that can demonstrate they have successfully led primary care teams in a previous role.

The successful candidate will have the appetite to work in an organisation that values and respects its employees and have the drive and enthusiasm to ensure you and your team compliment the high-quality services we provide.

You will have the opportunity to work within the wider operations team to meet the needs of the service. To provide support and leadership to all staff in the practices and other locations where required ensuring quality of service delivery is maintained and developed in line with annual quality improvement plans.

You will act as a positive role model supporting junior staff whilst working flexibly within our care services to provide quality, high performing services.

Main duties of the job

  • Support the management of the practice, ensuring quality standards and targets are met.
  • To be a member of gtd healthcare's operations team working to provide a range of high quality clinical services.
  • Operational line management of clinical and non-clinical staff including all aspects of human resource management.
  • Develop positive and effective working relationships with other gtd healthcare departments to facilitate the accurate and timely communication of information concerning clinical governance, risk management, quality assurance.
  • Promote positive and effective working relationships with commissioners, other health care providers and other key partners to support an integrated approach to high quality patient care.
  • Recognise the challenges and positives of communication to a remote cohort of staff whilst also ensuring remote workers feel embedded within the gtd team, despite off site location.
  • Participate in the maintenance of quality governance systems and processes across the organisation and its activities.
  • In partnership with other clinical teams, collaborate on improving the quality of health care responding to local and national policies and initiatives as appropriate.
  • Support the development of effective methods of monitoring and quality assuring the performance of the Operations function.
  • Share systems knowledge and understanding within the business to enhance the quality of services delivered.

Person Specification

Qualifications

Desirable:

  • Management qualification or working towards one, or a degree and relevant work experience.

Essential:

  • Experience in operational management, including supervisory experience both remote and on site.
  • Experience of performance management.
  • Experience of implementing operational systems solutions.
  • Strategic Resource Planning Knowledge.
  • Experience of working and/or managing a remote workforce.
