Your new company
A leader in the healthfood and nutrients sector, with a growing stable of well-loved products sold through D2C and Retail channels. This brand is well established and going through an exciting period of sustained growth.
Your new role
As Operations Manager you will lead a team of approx 20 across Production and Warehouse functions. This is a hands-on role in a fast-moving environment, leading and supporting the teams, solving problems, and driving performance improvements. You will ensure all activities are completed safely, efficiently, and in line with customer requirements, with a clear focus on Quality.
What you'll need to succeed
You will have experience in a similar role, ideally in a Food / FMCG manufacturing business with solid foundations around Health & Safety and Food Safety standards. Your CV will demonstrate the ability to identify and deliver process improvements that help to improve measurable performance, capacity, and efficiency. You will be comfortable developing and using KPIs to understand performance, and any experience of improving data capture and use of dashboards is an advantage. Project work supporting capacity and efficiency gains is also useful; so experience of assessing layout and flow, assessing and adding automation, system upgrades etc is an advantage and should be detailed within your CV.
Experience of liaising with Finance and Commercial Teams regarding Forecasting and Planning is an advantage, as is working in businesses where in-house capacity is supplemented by co-packers / co-manufacturing. This is a very people-focussed position, you will know how to lead with positivity and ambition, and enjoy developing a working culture that motivates and encourages people to succeed.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
