Role Description
The Operations Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Bournemouth, responsible for overseeing day-to-day operational activities across installation, service, and customer support teams. This role manages project schedules, resource allocation, and workflow to ensure solar installations are delivered on time, within budget, and to quality standards. The Operations Manager monitors performance metrics, implements process improvements, and ensures compliance with health and safety regulations and industry standards.

Qualifications
- Experience in operations management, project coordination, or similar roles in construction, home improvements, renewable energy, or related industries.
- Strong skills in planning, scheduling, and resource management to oversee multiple projects and teams effectively.
- Proficiency in using operations or project management software and standard office tools (e.g., spreadsheets, CRM, reporting tools).
- Knowledge of health and safety practices, regulatory compliance, and quality assurance in an on-site, field-based environment.
- Effective leadership and people management skills, including coaching, performance monitoring, and conflict resolution.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to coordinate across technical, sales, and customer service functions.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with attention to detail and a focus on continuous improvement.
- Understanding of solar energy systems or a strong interest in renewable energy; prior experience in solar or energy efficiency is an advantage.
- Ability to work on-site in Bournemouth, with flexibility to visit customer sites and support field operations as needed.
- Relevant education such as a diploma or degree in business, operations management, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
