Be successful in this role and you will support the smooth running of the inner workings of the HR function. You will be responsible for managing core HR Operations processes and activities on behalf of our People and Operational Effectiveness team (POE). Oversight of key HR processes will be the focus of this role to ensure our processes operate effectively, are customer centric and in line with agreed standards. Liaising with teams across HR (and beyond) you will support the smooth running of our function. Our POE team includes HR Tech, Service Delivery, Risk Management, the HR Agile Management Office and Employee Relations. Our HR Services team deliver key HR administrative processes to our business.
Key activities include:

Process Owner for key HR Processes As our HR Process Owner for critical processes including Time and Leave, Absence and Data Administration, you will be the key HR contact working with our delivery teams to ensure processes are executed to the expected standard, in line with agreed process documentation and procedures. You will work closely with our HR Services team to minimise issues, solve risk and drive continual process improvements. This includes overseeing change management, review of service performance and plans to drive improvement as needed, in line with our agreed governance model.

Reviewing customer experience To improve customer facing communication and the overall customer experience is key.

Risk and compliance activities The role will also include tying HR processes to any risk and compliance activities such as process links to associated controls e.g. policies, and ensuring standard operating procedures and practices are in place and maintained to ensure we deliver against our HR strategy and reduce associated risks.

People and Operational Effectiveness Activities With core process mapping expertise, you will manage the POE process mapping activity, taking the lead on mapping existing processes to enable shared understanding of process across teams and highlight where we may focus on improvement. Working to our process mapping standards, you will support our POE teams to map out their processes, maintaining process maps and associated documentation.

Budget coordination Across team, working with our Finance specialists to oversee and manage the POE budget.

Strategy development You will support our teams in creating and maintaining our POE strategy, in line with our overall HR direction. This includes creating and coordinating Quarterly Performance Packs for our Head of HR, and All Hands sessions for our area.

You’re an experienced Operations manager with the bigger picture in mind and you love to challenge the status quo.
Essential requirements
- Experience operating at manager level with HR Operations knowledge.
- Expertise in overseeing operational processes to expected outcomes and standards, with a high attention to detail, ensuring operational excellence and customer centric delivery.
- Process mapping expertise to industry standards. Facilitating teams to document as-is and to-be processes.
- You will be logical and methodical in your approach with an eye on the detail, providing structure and governance where needed, whilst maintaining progress against agreed timelines.
- You will be highly collaborative and able to influence others to work together and build alignment. This will involve some delegation and delivery via others in order to meet your responsibilities.
Desirable skills
- Experience working in a highly commercial, fast paced, complex and transformative environment, ideally (not essentially), within Financial Services or Regulated environment.
- CIPD qualification (or equivalent) beneficial though not required
